M. Peter Dahlin, citoyen de l'Union européenne et fondateur de "Chinese Urgent Action Working Group", une ONG de défense des droits de l'homme œuvrant en Chine, a été arrêté le 4 janvier alors qu'il s'apprêtait à prendre l'avion à Pékin. Il est détenu depuis cette date. L'UE espère que cette affaire sera résolue rapidement conformément aux normes internationales en matière de droits de l'homme.
Mr Peter Dahlin, an EU citizen and founder of China Urgent Action Working Group, a human rights NGO operating in China, was arrested on January 4th as he prepared to board a flight from Beijing. He has been detained ever since. The EU expects a swift resolution of this case in accordance with international human rights standards.

The Working Group on Governance, Rule of Law and Human Rights under the European Union-Sri Lanka Joint Commission concluded its first meeting in Colombo on 21 January 2016.
