On February 20, Delegation of the European Union in Uzbekistan met with representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Assistance to Privatized Enterprises and Development of Competition. During the meeting possible EU's involvement into the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MTPF) to eliminate the consequences of the drying out of the Aral Sea and to prevent the catastrophe of the ecosystem in the Aral region was discussed.
On February 20, Head of Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation in Uzbekistan Ovidiu Mic participated at the meeting with national partners, relevant line ministries and agencies at the National Coordination Unit of the EU's Technical Assistance Programme.

A training in crime scene photography took place from January 29 to February 2, 2018 in Niamey. The training session was the second of its kind following the first in November of 2017, and were put into place in response to requests from Nigerien authorities to help improve knowledge of crime scene photography amongst the personnel of the Nigerien Technical and Scientific Police services.
