On 26 December Liberian citizens finally proceeded to exercise their right to vote and to elect their new President. 40 Years service Medal Award

Congratulations to Mrs. Amelework Bekele who have achieved 40 years of committed service to the European union since January 1977. Mrs. Bekele's loyal service was recognized with a special reception on 14 December 2017 and presentation of a special tribute letter from HRVP Federica Mogheini. The letter and the medal was presented by the Head of Delegation H.E. Amb. Johan Borgstam.

Manila, 28th December 2017 – The European Union is allocating €570 000 (PHP 34 million) in humanitarian funding to deliver emergency relief assistance to families affected by powerful Tropical Storm Vinta, which wreaked havoc across large parts of the southern Philippines just before Christmas. The funds will be used to address the immediate needs of those who have been most affected by the tropical system in the heavily hit areas.
