The European Commission has allocated an additional €40 million in emergency assistance for those affected by the worsening humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, as well as for Afghan refugees in neighbouring Pakistan and Iran. This brings total EU humanitarian aid for the Afghan crisis to €77 million in 2019: €61 million in Afghanistan, €9 million in Pakistan and €7 million in Iran.

The Technical Assistance of the Enhanced Competitiveness of Tajik Agribusiness Project (ECTAP) is coming to an end

Partenaire constant de la Côte d'Ivoire depuis 1961, l'Union européenne entretient des relations politiques et économiques privilégiées avec le pays. Dans le cadre de ce partenariat, elle intervient dans des secteurs aussi variés que le commerce, l'énergie, la sécurisation du foncier rural, ou encore la bonne gouvernance, entre autres. Les actions qu'elle mène dans le monde et, en particulier, en Côte d'Ivoire, reposent sur un certain nombre de valeurs qui ont présidé à sa création, telles que la paix, la démocratie, la justice, l'égalité, ou encore la solidarité.
Afin de promouvoir ces valeurs que partage la Côte d'Ivoire, l'Union européenne a décidé de mener un projet d'envergure nationale, en partenariat avec la Fondation Magic System, également engagée dans le domaine social. Ce projet, baptisé l’"UE Magic Tour", a été lancé le 1er mars 2019 à Abidjan.
