Given this year's special health situation, the festival will hold its Third edition online, via its new dedicated website which will be live during the weekend of June 20-21. It is a virtual celebration of music that offers live streaming concerts, pre recorded concerts from 4 HK bands and 10 European bands. Festival also offers resources including various interviews, videos and academic talks about local music scene and also some music related platforms that showcases the music talents from the European counties and the rest of the world. All of the contents are accessible for free.

A series of 4 Interviews with the 4 Hong Kong bands, local music influencer Dr. Wong Chi chung and founder of Wow and flutter Mr. Hong Ka Chun.
What is Make Music, Hong Kong! Festival?
Make Music, Hong Kong! is a free music festival created in 2018 by Alliance Française de Hong Kong and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau. It is co-funded by the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, with the participation of the consulates general and institutes of culture of several European Union countries.
“Make Music, Hong Kong!” is inspired by Music Day, which Alliance Française de Hong Kong has organized since 1985. Inspired by the Fête de la Musique which originated in France and is widely celebrated around the world on 21st of June, the day of the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Make Music, Hong Kong! showcases a mix of amateur and professional artists of local and European origin. Every year, around 30 local bands and half a dozen European bands are presented to the Hong Kong public at several cultural venues. Previous festival locations include Tai Kwun and Fringe Club, both of which are historical landmarks of the city.
Who are the organisers? Make music Hong Kong 2020 is co-presented by Alliance Française de Hong Kong, Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau, and funded by European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, with the participation of the Consulates General of Austria, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Italian Cultural Institute and Goethe Institute. Hong Kong streaming program is supported by Wow and Flutter.
