17 July unites all those who wish to support justice, promote victims' rights, and help prevent crimes that threaten the peace, security and well-being of the world. "We shall never forget atrocities from the past but rather keep them as part of our collective human memory and determination to prevent future conflicts and genocides. That is why the EU contributes each year to the promotion of international criminal justice," stated EU High Representative Federica Mogherini on behalf of the EU, on the occasion of International Criminal Justice Day.

The Palestinian Cash Transfer Programme (CTP) provides quarterly cash assistance to some 108,000 poor and vulnerable families in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It is part of the social protection system managed by the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD).

Under this programme, Direct Financial Support (DFS) contributions to the payment of salaries and pensions to the civil servants and pensioners of the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank are made available on a regular and predictable basis.

As we mark the International Criminal Justice Day, the European Union reaffirms its longstanding support towards the international criminal justice system and in particular its unwavering commitment to the International Criminal Court (ICC), as part of the EU's wider commitment to a rules-based international order.
