Good afternoon,

Today, after nine months, the High-Level Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue continued. We started a new chapter, as this was the first meeting with Albin Kurti as Prime Minister of Kosovo. It was not an easy meeting, but it was important that it happened.

Both leaders had a very open and frank exchange on what they each want from the Dialogue.

Today, together with the European Union Special Representative [for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue], Miroslav Lajčák, we will be hosting a new meeting of the High Level Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

13/06/2021 - HR/VP Blog - Last Monday we asked Ricardo Hausmann, Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School, to give a presentation to several hundred EEAS staff members about the global dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic and the way out. We need indeed to draw inspiration from the most advanced thinking from academia and think tanks.

The European Union welcomes the actions taken by Armenia and Azerbaijan and facilitated by Georgia that led to the release by Azerbaijan of 15 Armenian detainees and the handing over by Armenia of maps of mined areas on Saturday. 

These are important humanitarian and confidence building gestures by Baku and Yerevan that will hopefully open the path for further cooperation between the sides and the ultimate release of all Armenian detainees, as well as the handing over of all available maps of mined areas to avoid further civilian casualties.

Today, June 12, 2021, the visit of the EU Special Representative for Central Asia (CA), Ambassador Peter Burian to Kazakhstan has completed. Ambassador P. Burian arrived in Kazakhstan on June 7, 2021 with a working visit.
