European Union Ambassador to South Sudan Christian Bader presented his credentials to H.E. President Salva Kiir on 1ST October 2020 at the State House, commonly known as J1.
The President and his ministers present at the ceremony thanked the EU for its substantial aid to the country and expressed the hope that such cooperation could be enhanced, also in consideration of the recent floods that have devastated large parts of the county.

Ambassador Bader reminded both in his meeting with the South Sudanese government representatives and in a press statement after the ceremony, how the EU is willing to step up its already significant aid to South Sudan while closely monitoring the implementation of the revitalised peace agreement.
H.E. Bader comes to the EU Delegation in South Sudan after a long career in diplomacy representing the French government in several missions including a first assignment in South Sudan (2010-2015). He takes over from the Irish Diplomat, H.E. Dr Sinead Walsh.
