Publication of Call for Proposals: CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS (CSOS) AS ACTORS OF GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT

EuropeAid/ 162644/DD/ACT/SL (01/03/2019)

The European Union Delegation in Sierra Leone is seeking proposals for actions that contribute to women and girls' empowerment and gender equality in Sierra Leone.

The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:

  1. To promote the rights of women and girls and reduce all forms of sexual and gender based violence.
  2. To strengthen the operational, management and technical capacity of national CSOs to recognise and respond to development needs.

The priorities of this call for proposals are:

Ending violence against women and girls: working towards the elimination of all forms of sexual or gender-based violence (SGBV) through various approaches that empower women and girls to prevent, end, avoid and escape from violence and violent situations (e.g. increased social, political and economic empowerment).

Capacity building: building sustainable and long-term operational, management and technical capacities of local and national-level CSOs and platforms to enhance their contribution to development and governance processes.

The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 2,217,500.

The session is free of charge; no costs incurred by the applicants for attending this information session are reimbursable.

All organisations can find the PROSPECT users' manual on the European Commission's EuropeAid website: https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/europeaid/prospect.  You may also contact our technical support team via the online support form in PROSPECT.
