Climate Change: Innovation & Land Transport
As part of Climate Diplomacy Week, on June 23rd June 2017, the European Union Delegation to Singapore, jointly with Singapore's Ministry of Transport, organised a seminar on Climate Change: Innovation and Land Transport. Held at the Carlton Hotel Singapore, the event drew over 100 participants from the industry and the diplomatic community. Building on successful events on the hot-button topic of climate change, this too drew a lot of interest. The presence of Mr Henrik Hololei, Director General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission added greatly to the event. This seminar aimed to explore innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of land transport use. The use of public transport figured prominently in the presentations and lively discussions that followed.
