Strengthening EU–Indonesia Investment Relations

The EU Investment Desk is a strategic initiative established within the Indonesian Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/ Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). This project is supported by the European Union (EU) through the EU-Indonesia Cooperation Facility (EUICF). It acts as a pivotal bridge to facilitate EU foreign direct investment (FDI) into Indonesia and to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation between the two entities.

Aligned with the EU's Global Gateway strategy, the Desk also aids in implementing the Attraction Plan for EU Investment in Indonesia. This collaborative roadmap, developed by the EU and BKPM, aims to match high-potential sectors with shared policy priorities for a more robust economic partnership.

Our Role

Operating at the crossroads of policy, promotion, and facilitation, the Desk focuses on:

Supporting market entry and expansion for EU investors in Indonesia
Identifying and promoting investment-ready projects (IPROs)
Coordinating high-impact investment events and seminars both in Indonesia and Europe
Providing policy feedback to Indonesian authorities to help improve the investment climate
