Our Voice Our Future - What do we want to achieve?

06.03.2025

The #OurVoiceOurFuture community aims to encourage the enthusiasm and innovative ideas of young people to communicate EU Foreign Policy effectively. By establishing a global network of young changemakers and content creators, the EU aims to ensure that its policies are inclusive, relevant, and aligned with the aspirations of the younger generation.

Engaging with Youth is a top priority for the EU. The members of # OurVoiceOurFuture are content creators, activists and community builders who come from all over the world, both within and outside the EU. Aged between 15 and 35, they advocate for Human Rights, security, peacebuilding, global diplomacy, democracy, and climate actions. They act as multipliers on social media and/or within their respective communities.

In 2022, during the European Year of Youth, the EEAS with the assistance of EU Delegations launched the global social media campaign #OurVoiceOurFuture with young activists from all continents. The campaign aimed to raise awareness among young people about the meaning and value of multilateralism and amplify the voices of young opinion leaders. By the end of 2022, the campaign achieved a reach of 57.6 million people. In 2023, the campaign focused on the protection of Human Rights. In 2024, the campaign primarily focused on the Summit of the Future.

The network is open and structured as a community of young people who can actively participate in and communicate during strategic events and campaigns, or engage with EU policies, including the annual Youth Policy Dialogue with the HR/VP.
