About the #ForOurPlanet campaign

BIG changes often start small

Biodiversity loss and climate change are impacting our planet, but also our lives and well-being. Together, we can join forces to help restore and protect natural ecosystems and make a real difference #ForOurPlanet.

#ForOurPlanet is an EU campaign to address the climate and nature crises across the globe. Together with EU Delegations and EC Representations we want to encourage all citizens and civil society to take action #ForOurPlanet, from planting trees to restoring wetlands, or just bringing nature to your house, roof or garden. Every action counts!

This annual global campaign was launched in 2022 in the context of CoP27 and CoP15, to raise awareness and call for green action.

Earth Day kicks off this year's #ForOurPlanet campaign with a focus on the theme of Circular Economy in line with EU Green Week 2025.

And for the first time in 2025, the #ForOurPlanet campaign is joining the fifth edition of the ETF Green Skills Awards!

#ForOurPlanet Season 3 - Actions on Circular Economy

A circular economy is about using less, designing smarter, and reusing everything, turning waste into a resource. To make sure nothing goes to waste, everyday products like clothes and electronics aren’t simply thrown away when we are done with them. Instead, we cherish them for longer, and we repair, reuse, recycle or even compost them. That's how we reduce waste and pollution, tackle climate change and biodiversity loss, and create green jobs.
