EU Projects with Uganda

Uganda is one of the European Union’s important partners. Our partnership is broadly comprehensive and dominated by mutual political, trade and development interests. Our compendium consists of 115 ongoing EU funded projects in Uganda with a total funding of over 896 Million Euros. The compendium is an attempt to provide an overview of the wide range of activities supported by the European Union in Uganda. The contents of the compendium include project details as well as achievements and expected outcomes.

Uganda aims to improve the environment for growth and investment. The European Union firmly supports this agenda for growth through various projects. The projects are categorised according to the funding instruments. Some of the instruments featured in this publication include European Development Fund (EDF), Civil Society Organisations and Local Authorities (CSO/LA), European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), Environment Instrument, Food Instrument, Neighbourhood, development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI), European Civil Protection& Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and European Union Trust Fund (EUTF).
