The European Union and the Republic of Korea are strategic partners, marking the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year. Relations between the EU and the Republic of Korea are governed by three key agreements, namely the Political Framework Agreement, the Free Trade Agreement, and the Framework Participation Agreement. There are frequent, numerous bilateral consultations and sectoral policy dialogues throughout the year.
