The user friendly platform www.prijavi-diskriminaciju.ba includes an interactive map of Bosnia and Herzegovina which provides insight into the territorial representation of discrimination in the country. The platform also contains important documents and contacts of relevant institutions for human rights protection.

The platform came about as an idea of young Roma men and women during implementing the project “LYRA - Young Roma Leaders in Action”, funded by the EU in the amount of EUR 200,000 from the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). The overall project objective is to promote respect for the human rights of Roma children and youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Denis Mujić from Tuzla is one of the active young Roma leaders in his community and he helps young people. "While we are all entitled to equal treatment, those who are different from the rest of the population on any grounds - national, racial, social, sexual, and other - are often unable to exercise that right," he said.

Administrators of the platform monitor whether the reports have been properly completed, and forward the reports to the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman in BiH. Platform administrators directly follow up if a complainant has decided to provide contact details.

The platform was launched in June 2017 by Director for Western Balkans at the Directorate General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Genoveva Ruiz Calavera. The project is implemented by Save the Children in partnership with the Citizens’ Association for the Promotion of Education of Roma “Otaharin” from Bijeljina and Association Altruist from Mostar, who administrate the platform.
