The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, met today with the acting Foreign Minister of Albania, Gent Cakaj, on the margins of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava.

 

The annual Human Resources Report summarises the main achievements, policies implemented and important developments in the area of human resources and administration, both at Headquarters and in Delegations. It also provides detailed statistics on the EEAS population per category, gender, age and nationality.

The High Representative and Minister Cavuşoğlu discussed the recent developments in EU-Turkey relations and exchanged views on several regional issues notably Syria, Libya, the Eastern Mediterranean and Iraq.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, met today with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, on the margins of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava.

They discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine ahead of the Normandy format summit in Paris on 9 December. The High Representative stressed that the full implementation of the Minsk agreements is crucial.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, met today with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Vadym Prystaiko, on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Bratislava. 

On 26 November 2019, the Republic of Kiribati deposited its instrument of accession to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). This accession testifies to Kiribati's commitment to strengthening the rule of law and protecting human rights.

The International Criminal Court is a key institution to assist victims achieve justice when confronted with the most serious crimes, where this is not possible at the national level. We all have a shared interest in working together with the ICC.

The European Union stands in full solidarity with Greece and Cyprus regarding recent actions by Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean, including the Aegean Sea. Turkey needs to respect the sovereignty and the sovereign rights of all EU Member States, as stressed repeatedly by the European Council and in Council conclusions, most recently in June 2019.
