3-2019 Extraordinary Call for Contributions for the Regional Advisory and Coordination Cell (RACC) - Deadline for applications: Friday 06 December 2019 at 17:00 hours (Brussels time) - Late applications will not be accepted.

The mission will support the reform of the internal security forces to enable the CAR authorities to mitigate the current security challenges in the country. EU experts will support the Ministry of the Interior and the internal security forces, the police and the gendarmerie, with the aim of helping in their deployment throughout the country.

On 19 November 2019, in Brussels, the European Union and Costa Rica held their third High Level Dialogue to strengthen the two parties' political dialogue and cooperation, as well as to discuss their bilateral relations and current international policy. The detention of more than 13 Nicaraguans on 14-15 November in connection with their support to hunger strikers gathered at the Church of San Miguel in the city of Masaya, as well as the siege of the church by police forces, represent an infringement against the fundamental rights of Nicaraguan citizens. This is a serious setback to the political process that conveys a negative signal about the willingness of the government to work towards a peaceful and democratic way out of the crisis.
