The European Development Days (EDDs) bring the development community together each year to share ideas and experiences in ways that inspire new partnerships and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. "Addressing inequalities: building a world which leaves no one behind" is the overarching theme at this year's EDDs.

У чэрвені 2019 года ў Беларусi пакаралі смерцю Аляксандра Жыльнікава. Паводле паведамленняў, з высокай верагоднасцю Вячаслава Сухарку таксама пакаралі смерцю. Еўрапейскі саюз шчыра спачувае родным і блізкім ахвяр здзейсненых злачынстваў.

В июне 2019 в Беларуси казнили Александра Жильникова. Cогласно сообщениям, высока вероятность того, что Вячеслав Сухарко также был казнен. Европейский союз искренне сочувствует родным и близким жертв совершенных преступлений. В то же время ЕС подтверждает свое решительное неприятие смертной казни при любых обстоятельствах и призывает Беларусь ввести мораторий на смертную казнь в качестве первого шага к отмене.

Protecting our democratic processes and institutions from disinformation is a major challenge for societies across the globe. To tackle this, the EU has demonstrated leadership and put in place a robust framework for coordinated action, with full respect for European values and fundamental rights.

High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini has presented the third progress report on the implementation of the European Union Global Strategy, “The EU Global Strategy in Practice - Three years on, looking forward”, which will be discussed by the EU Foreign and Defence Ministers at the Foreign Affairs Council on 17 June 2019 in Luxembourg. The report looks at the progress achieved over the past three years, since the presentation of the Global Strategy in June 2016, in five priority areas - the security of the Union, state and social resilience to our east and south, an integrated approach to conflicts and crises, cooperative regional orders and global governance for the 21st century - and provides possible orientations for the way forward in the coming years.
