The European Union and Canada recall their close relations with Hong Kong under the ‘one country, two systems’ principle and their strong stake in its continued stability and prosperity.

Founded during the siege of Sarajevo, it is today a major celebration of film, but also a force for local economic growth.

Las decisiones arbitrarias y políticamente motivadas adoptadas el 12 de agosto por el Tribunal Supremo de Justicia de Venezuela y la Asamblea Constituyente no reconocida, contra la Asamblea Nacional y cuatro de sus miembros (Tomás Guanipa, José Guerra, Rafael Guzmán y Juan Pablo García) constituyen otro ataque directo contra el único organismo elegido democráticamente en Venezuela.


The arbitrary and politically motivated decisions that were taken on 12 August by the Venezuelan Supreme Court and the non-recognised Constituent Assembly, against the National Assembly and four of its members – Tomas Guanipa, Jose Guerra, Rafael Gusman and Juan Pablo Garcia – constitute another direct attack on the only democratically elected body in Venezuela.


Face à la persistance des troubles et à l’accroissement des faits de violence à Hong Kong, il est essentiel que toutes les parties fassent preuve de retenue, rejettent toute forme de violence et prennent des mesures urgentes afin d'apaiser la situation.


In light of the continuing unrest and the increase in violent incidents in Hong Kong, it is crucial that all sides exercise restraint, reject all kinds of violence, and take urgent steps to de-escalate the situation.

It is now more vital than ever to engage in a political process of broad-based and inclusive dialogue, involving all key stakeholders.
