Today, the Foreign Affairs Council discussed Iraq and adopted conclusions. The Council reiterates the EU's steadfast support for Iraq's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the importance of Iraqi ownership of the country's internal political and economic reform processes. It underlines the EU's continued commitment to the preservation of the multi-ethnic and multi-religious nature of Iraqi society.

Mme Federica Mogherini, haute représentante de l'Union pour les affaires étrangères et la politique de sécurité/vice-présidente de la Commission européenne a participé à la 5ème réunion ministérielle entre l'Union européenne et les Ministres des Affaires étrangères du G5 Sahel(Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritanie, Niger, Tchad), sous la co-présidence de M. Alpha Barry, Ministre des Affaires Etrangères et de la Coopération du Burkina Faso.

Active engagement of youth in sustainable development efforts is key to achieving sustainable, inclusive and stable societies and to preventing challenges to sustainable development, including climate change, unemployment, poverty, gender inequality, conflict, and migration. However, truth be told, young people are almost three times more likely to be unemployed than adults and continuously exposed to lower quality of jobs, inequalities, and longer school-to-work transitions.

The High Representative opened a new EU Delegation in Kuwait, a natural and strong partner in peace building and mediation. It is the third Delegation in the Gulf, taking the total number of Delegations around the world to 142.

Today, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/ Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, inaugurated, together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah, the European Union's Delegation to the State of Kuwait. This takes the total number of EU Delegations around the world to 142.
