Hoy, el Gobierno de España y la Unión Europea han anunciado la celebración de una Conferencia Internacional de Donantes en solidaridad con los refugiados y migrantes venezolanos en países de América Latina. Esta conferencia se desarrollará de forma virtual, coordinada entre Madrid y Bruselas, el 26 de mayo de 2020. El Gobierno de España y la Unión Europea (UE) convocarán la conferencia de Donantes, con el apoyo del Alto Comisionado de Naciones Unidas para Refugiados (ACNUR) y la Organización Internacional para las Migraciones (OIM).

Today, the European Union and the Spanish Government announced the launch of an International Donors Conference in solidarity with Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Latin American countries. This conference will take place virtually, coordinated between Madrid and Brussels, on 26 May 2020. The European Union (EU) and the Spanish Government will convene the donor conference, with the support of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

On the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, the European Union pays tribute to human diversity in all its richness, and the right of every human person to be proud of who they are, to define their own identity and to love the person of their choice.

After six months which laid the groundwork for developing a green human rights agenda at the level of the Council of Europe, the Georgian chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers comes to an end today. Although efforts have recently been slowed down by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Georgian presidency played a very important role in setting the stage for a timely debate around the interconnection between human rights and the environment, as well as the place the Council of Europe - as a fundamental rights organisation - should occupy in the field of international environmental law.
