At the EU-Cuba Joint Council, High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell had a fruitful discussion with Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez on overall EU-Cuba relations. This included taking stock of dialogues under the EU-Cuba Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement (PDCA) and future cooperation in the years ahead.
In particular, they discussed the impact of US sanctions on the Cuban economy and on EU trade and investment interests.

I am very pleased to welcome here in Brussels, at the headquarters of the European External Action Service, my colleague and friend, the Turkish Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. We will spend some time taking stock of the relations between the European Union and Turkey and we will discuss the way forward.
UN Women—together with the European Commission, Belgium, France, Mexico, as well as in partnership with Cartooning for Peace—is organizing a global comic and cartoon competition to mark the 25th anniversary of the groundbreaking Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, which set out how to remove the systemic barriers that hold women back from equal participation in all areas of life. The Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action is a visionary agenda for the empowerment of women and girls, everywhere.
