For Europe Day 2021, in Aotearoa New Zealand, we were able to gather and meet with our friends, colleagues, business contacts, academics and civil society. We participated and held several events: two receptions, one film screening on regenerative farming, as well as a Model EU. It was indeed a celebration to be able to gather with so many people!

Unlike most Europe Day 2021 events across the world, in Aotearoa New Zealand, we were able to gather and meet with our friends, colleagues, business contacts, academics and civil society.

We participated and held several events: two receptions, one film screening on regenerative farming, as well as a Model EU.

After an absence, we were delighted to return to Auckland and reconnect with 100 European businesses, academics and the European honorary corps there.

We organised a film screening on regenerative farming to encourage discussion about knowing the origins of your food, part of the EU's Farm to Fork initative.

It was a pleasure to participate in a Model EU in Auckland, organised by the European Union Centres Network. Headlining the event was the topic: is the EU doing enough to meet its goals for 2030? A stimulating weekend of discussion followed.

In Wellington we were joined by 200. We were privileged to be hosted by Hon James Shaw, Minister for Climate Change, in the New Zealand Parliament. Noting the work that lies ahead of the world, he highlighted the European Union's Green Deal and action already taken by the EU to fight climate change.
