We are

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 27 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have similar functions to those of an embassy.


We offer

We offer a contract of undetermined duration for a post of "Secretary". The selected person will report to the Trade Affairs Manager.

We look for

Minimum required qualifications and experience:

  • Higher School Certificate, French Baccalaureate or equivalent;
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Secretary/Assistant or as an administrative officer.


Knowledge of languages and skills

  • Proficient user of English and French (understanding, reading, writing and speaking);
  • Excellent communication skills (ability to understand and be understood, drafting skills);
  • Capacity to deliver in a structured way (accuracy, rigour);
  • Capacity to act upon problems – prioritising, organizing, monitoring, following up;
  • Very good command of Microsoft Office and good general computer skills.
