I have the honour to speak on behalf of the European Union and its Member States. The Candidate Countries the Republic of North Macedonia*, Montenegro* and Albania* and the EFTA country Norway, member of the European Economic Area align themselves with this statement.

We once again thank the ILO for its constant engagement in promoting labour rights in Myanmar. We welcome the continued dialogue with the Government on striving to improve labour rights in the country, particularly in this new COVID-19 reality.

We welcome the compromise language reached underlying the need to step up efforts in the number of important fields. 
The EU and its MS are therefore ready to support the new decision point
