Launch of an online event on 30 November at 10:00 featuring high- level speakers from the EU and Council of Europe to mark the adoption of a new EU Action Plan on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in External Relations for 2021 – 2025 (GAP III).

 

The event will feature the following speakers: 

  • Ambassador Mara Marinaki, European External Action Service's Principal Advisor on Gender and on the implementation of UN Security Council's first resolution on Women, Peace and Security (UNSCR 1325)
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Nina Nordström, Permanent Representative of Finland to the Council of Europe, Chair of the Committee of the Parties to the Istanbul convention. 
  • Mr Daniele Cangemi, Head of Human Dignity and Gender Equality Department, Council of Europe
