Beneficiaries: Population living in Nine informal areas of Cairo, Giza and Qalyubeya Governorates

Description: The project aims at improving the living conditions of the poor urban population living in nine informal areas of the Greater Cairo Region (GCR).

This is achieved by offering better quality services through both public administration and civil society organisations, and by improving small physical and social infrastructures.

In addition, the capacities of the local authorities and civil society organisations to participate in the discussion, design and implementation of interventions related to urban development is reinforced so that social, environmental, and sustainable economic development is taken into account.
