The EU Delegation to Russia, Shaninka (Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Russia continue the series of online events "Creative Industries and the Pandemic. The End or a New Start?".

The series will continue on May, 28 at 19.00 with discussion "Game industry during the pandemic: unexpected growth, unobvious losses and solidarity with victims. How do game developers in Romania and Russia experience the lockdown".

How is the computer games industry in the EU and Russia experiencing the current crisis? Does short-term turnover growth compensate for the negative impact of the lockdown on production? What contribution do game technologies make to the fight against the pandemic?

Speakers:

  • Andrei Istrate - one of the main promoters of the game development industry in Romania, founder of “Jam de casa” - a charity online gaming chakaton for the benefit of doctors working with coronavirus in Romania
  • Elena Grigoryan - CMO at MY.GAMES, an international gaming brand (part of Mail.ru Group) and a leading Eastern European online entertainment company

The discussion will be moderated by Svetlana Negrobova, Industry Relations Manager at the Scream School.
