Roxana was 8 years old when she met Telma, her next-door neighbor. Back then, Telma often took care of her, becoming somewhat of a grandmother who knitted colorful scarves and hats for the little kid. A few months ago, Roxana found her neighbor, who is now a 96-year-old living alone, in a poor health state; so she decided to “adopt” her and take her home.
When the Coronavirus outbreak hit Argentina, they decided to do their bit to help: they do not make hats anymore, but face masks that they are donating to the local hospital. “Today she put her shirt on, at 96, and we started making masks. I can't love her more”, wrote Roxana in a Facebook post that has gone viral. #UnitedinDistance
