EUPOL COPPS supports Palestinian and international organizations in raising awareness about gender-based violence

EUPOL COPPS supports the Palestinian rule of law authorities in their capacity building. Countering gender-based violence is one of the fields in which the Mission advises its Palestinian partners.

From 25 November to 10 December, EUPOL COPPS stands together with almost 70 Palestinian and international organizations to raise awareness about gender-based violence. Law enforcement agencies are key to the fight against gender-based violence and EUPOL COPPS will be highlighting the role of women within this sector. Lana and Nihad, the head of the gender unit at the Ministry of the Interior, will feature in interviews and some information will also be provided on how law enforcement agencies in EU member states approach the issue of gender-based violence.
