"Talent has no Gender" awards ceremony

First Counselor Tomas Pospisil opened the event and presented the prizes to the winning companies.

The first edition in Uruguay of the "Talent has no Gender" awards, based on WEPs principles, took place on 14 November.

The awards are given in the framework of the "Win-Win: Gender equality is good business" programme set up by the European Union and UN Women, and they seek to reward companies that promote gender equality.

The prize-giving ceremony was carried out at Sala Magnolio. The First Councilor of the EU Delegation, Tomas Pospisil, was in charge of opening the event. After him, speeches were given by UN Women Uruguay Representative Magdalena Furtado, IADB Representative in Uruguay Morgan Doyle and PWC Senior Partner Omar Cabral. Next, PWC Advisory Director Rossana Grosso explained the methodology used to select the award-winners.

In the National Companies category, the winneres were Ferrere Abogados and Centro Ceibal.

In the Multinational Companies category, the winners were BASF and Lumin.

The European Union congratulated the winning companies and thanked the IADB and PWC, without whose support these awards would not have been possible.
