The Chairman of the EU Military Committee – General Claudio Graziano – attended the Foreign Affairs Council Defence which also encompassed the EDA steering board, today in Brussels, and presented the military perspective on the important subjects in agenda.

“I would like to confirm the continuous commitment of the Military Committee to convey the views of the EU Chiefs of Defence on military matters throughout the EU capability planning and development process” General Graziano underlined.
Speaking about the Common security and defence policy missions and operations the Chairman agreed that tangible progress has been made in the performance of our missions and operations.

“I would underline as well that the successful outcomes achieved through EU military engagement are only possible thanks to the continuous effort and support provided by Member States, and to the professionalism and enthusiasm of our women and men in uniform deployed in some of the most demanding and dangerous areas of the globe. It is very important, from the military point of view, that this effort from Member States continues to beconfirmed." The Chairman stated.
