The visit also included meetings with Australia's Foreign Minister Marise Payne and Trade, Tourism and Investment Minister Simon Birmingham, as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tony Smith, and the President of the Senate, Scott Ryan.
The visit confirmed and highlighted the ongoing positive momentum in EU-Australia relations which continue to expand and deepen and coincided with the start in Canberra of the 5th round of EU-Australia FTA negotiations.
