The EU currently manages some 100 contracts in India, with an overall value of € 120 M. These contracts are implemented by EU Development partners in support of initiatives that promote human development – including democracy, social justice and human rights -, sustainable growth and clean energy and environment and climate change.
The sources of funding vary from the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI), the global and country-based allocations under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), the Industrialised Countries Instrument (ICI).
