There are several dozens of electronic platforms in Armenia that make public services more accessible, and ensure easy and transparent connection between the citizens and the state institutions. The European Union is the main supporter of electronic governance in Armenia.  In 2008-2018 the EU provided close to €25m for the E-governance reforms in Armenia.

On 10 June the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia presented the efficiency of the electronic governance tools and the perspectives of the development of the sector in Armenia. The meeting entitled “Introduction of Electronic Instruments to Promote Transparency and Openness of Public Governance” was held within the framework of the public awareness campaign for www.e-request.am – a one-window system for electronic requests. With this platform citizens can submit a request, complaint or an application to any state and local government body authorised to provide information and receive feedback online.

“Electronic platforms have significant importance for improving accessibility and quality of public services, ensuring participatory and inclusive policy-making processes, as well as transparency and accountability of public institutions,” Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan noted.

"The European Union helps to develop e-governance in Armenia by financing the introduction of electronic services and modernisation of the public sector. Both the EU and Armenia have strong interest in cooperation related to e-governance in Armenia. The continuity of the EU support in this field is a proof that we are committed to this cooperation and value our mutual achievements", mentioned the EU Ambassador Piotr Świtalski in his opening remarks.

RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan, Deputy Minister of Justice Anna Vardapetyan, Adviser to the RA Deputy Prime Minister Suren Krmoyan, President of the Freedom of Information Center of Armenia Shushan Doydoyan, representatives from ministries and other guests were present at the meeting.

With the support of the European Union more than ten e-governance platforms have been established in Armenia, among them are the electronic document management system Mulberry, electronic system of the State Register for Legal Entities-www.e-register.am, Unified website for publications of draft legal acts - www.e-draft.am. Currently two more systems are being developed – the Interoperability platform and Single Electronic Window.
