Khimki welcomes the 3rd International Youth Football Tournament on Children's Day

The International Football Tournament 'World Flags Junior Cup' will start at the 'Novye Khimki' stadium in Khimki (Moscow region) on 1st June 2019 at 10:00 hrs. The one day tournament for children between 10 and 12 years of age aims at promoting friendship in sport between children of the participating countries. The holding of the tournament on Children's Day is a perfect symbol of this intention.

This year's 'World Flags Junior Cup' tournament will see a record number of teams - 18. They represent 17 countries - Argentina, Belgium, Cameroon, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, European Union, Germany, Israel, Malta, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, the State of Qatar, Vietnam and the European Union. The teams will be supported by their respective embassies, by parents and by many soccer fans.

The tournament is held under the patronage of the Embassies of Argentina, Belgium, Cameroon, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Malta, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Spain, State of Qatar, Vietnam and the Delegation of the European Union as well as under the patronage of Khimki's Administration.

Shortly before the tournament, on 28th May 2019, a press conference will take place at 11:00h in the German Embassy (Moscow, ul. Mosfilmovskaya 56), during which further information on the 'World Flags Junior Cup' tournament will be provided and the draw for the groups will take place.
