About the EU Assistance to E-governance in Armenia
"EU4Digital" regional flagship project
The EU4Digital initiative covers 6 Eastern Partnership Countries. Its main objectives are to promote the key areas of the digital economy in the EaP region (Telecom Rules, Trust and Security, eTrade, ICT Innovation, eHealth, and eSkills), in line with EU norms and best practices.
The recently launched EU4Digital initiative will contribute to strengthening the cooperation between the EU and its six Eastern partner countries in these areas. This will result in improved online services at better prices and with greater choice; stronger personal data protection. It will also attract investments and boost trade and employment. Existing companies will grow faster and start-ups will be created more easily.
The programme focuses on harmonisation of roaming and promoting high-speed broadband internet. This will result in improved online services at better prices and with greater choice, as well as stronger personal data protection. It will also attract investments and boost trade and employment. Existing companies will grow faster and creating start-ups will become easier.

"EU4Armenia: e-Gov Actions" project
The project seeks to increase the efficiency of the public services by establishing a common interoperability platform for enabling a "One Window" portal for all governmental services. The project will target as a first step, the implementation of the One Stop Shop approach at border-crossing. The tools developed as part of the project will enable government bodies to maintain high quality and efficiency of public services, including the issuance of permits, licenses, certificates and other regulatory or electronic documents related to international trade. Streamlining and simplification of the customs clearance procedures will enable reduction of immediate communication between the civil servants at government agencies and the citizens engaged in foreign trade activities. Successful implementation of the project will increase transparency, public control and predictability of e-governance services. The project will also result in time and cost savings by the government agencies, economic entities and citizens.
