On Friday 30 November 2018, H.E. Ambassadors Elisabeth TICHY-FISSLBERGER, ZHANG Xiangchen, and Marc Vanheukelen signed the Agreement between the European Union and the People's Republic of China in connection with the dispute DS492 on the Measures affecting Tariff Concessions on Certain Poultry Meat Products.
The European Union and China reached a mutually agreed solution for this dispute. In order to implement the DSB's recommendations and rulings, the EU will grant China market access for three specific processed poultry products in the form of tariff rate quotas.
The agreement (https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/documents-publications/treaties-agreements/agreement/?id=2018040&DocLanguage=en) will then be voted by the European Parliament and adopted by the Council. It shall enter into force in 2019.
