Are you a young graduate? Are you curious to learn more about the work of a press and information section in a diplomatic mission and how the EU represents its interests and values in Russia?

What do we offer?

A paid traineeship for 4 to 6 months within the Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Russia in Moscow.

The foreseen starting date is 01 December 2018.

Main tasks:

  • Gather and monitor daily incoming news and information;
  • Media and blogs monitoring;
  • Assisting at organisation of press and cultural events;
  • Assisting at organisation of educational and youth related projects;
  • Drafting of specific reports followed in the Russian press;
  • Assistance in conception and implementation of information and communication products;
  • Attend conferences, seminars and meetings upon request and report back.

Qualifications:

  • Interest in – and preferably prior knowledge of – Russian and post-soviet space politics;
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently;
  • Ability to handle politically sensitive issues in a responsible manner;
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills;
  • Excellent English and Russian language skills.

Before applying, you are requested to examine the general eligibility criteria for traineeships (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 - Paid traineeship for young graduates)

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. However costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation and visa must be borne by the trainee.

Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
