Eastern Partnership Panel on Governance and Public Administration Reform met on 15-16 March 2018 in Yerevan, Armenia to discuss strategic planning in the area of public administration reform.
Strategic planning is one of the core principles of public administration, referred to in the Eastern Partnership "20 deliverables for 2020". The Eastern partner countries and EU Member states exchanged views on the key facets of strategic planning, including the financial implications of reforms, and monitoring and reporting on the reform process. The second day was devoted to public administration reform as applicable to the local and regional level of governance, including aspects such as fighting corruption and engaging with civil society.
The multilateral engagement at the Panel supports the reform processes undertaken by the Eastern partner countries in striving for more effective and accountable public administration.
