The Delegation of the European Union to Armenia invites you to the Forum on VET Reforms and the Opening of Social Enterprise at Armavir State Art College on 11 October, at 10:00-12:00 at Armavir State Art College (32 Yerevanyan str., Armavir city, Armavir marz).
Ambassador Piotr Antoni Świtalski, Head of European Union Delegation to Armenia together with representatives of line ministries (Ministry of Education and Science; Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs; and Ministry of Agriculture) will make statements at the Forum, announcing a new EU-funded programme "Better Qualifications for Better Jobs", with a budget of €15.2 million. The programme aims to assist Armenia in connecting vocational education and employability with a special focus on employment in agriculture.
The Opening of the printing house as a social enterprise is organised by an EU-funded project “Social Innovations for Vocational Education and Employability of Young People with Disabilities” (SIVEE) implemented by Save the Children in Armenia. Within this project 40 students with disabilities received vocational training at Armavir State Art College and five of them already work at the printing house as part of the Social Enterprise. The event will also feature an exhibition by VET students from Armavir and other regions.
Representatives of the Government, line Ministries, EU Delegation, EU-funded projects, social entrepreneurship networks as well as faculty and students from regional VETs will attend and be part of this conversation.
