This year’s theme is Heritage and Nature: A Landscape of Possibilities.

The EU Delegation to Kenya marked Heritage Day in an event co- hosted by the National Museums of Kenya at the Nairobi National Museum on Thursday 28th of September.

The day provided an opportunity to discover our shared cultural ties and to advocate for their preservation and protection for the present and future generations. This year’s theme is Heritage and Nature: A Landscape of Possibilities. The EU delegation and member states included Belgium, Finland, France, Germany and Italy participated at the event.

The Nairobi Museum opened its galleries to the visiting team, who were impressed by its collections, which include fossils from the earliest ancestors of man.

A group of young artistes, NANAMAC, also did graffiti arts on one of the Museum's walls.

A lively debate was held with students from the University of Nairobi and Catholic University. It was a great day for awareness raising on our shared heritage and the need to protect it.
