Statement by High Representative/Vice President Federica Mogherini on planned further executions in Indonesia

20.02.2015
Text

"Reports of planned further executions in Indonesia, which would be the third round of executions since November 2013, are once again deeply regrettable.

The EU is opposed to capital punishment in all cases and without exception, and has consistently called for its universal abolition.

The European Union repeats its call on the Indonesian authorities to stop all pending executions and move towards a definitive moratorium."
