JAMAICA - List of EEAS calls for tenders for the current year
Jamaica and the EU have committed to strengthen the collaboration on building a more effective partnership for growth and development.
The Government of Jamaica and the European Union have signed a Cooperation Agreement valued at 24,000,000 Euros or just over J$ 3 billion to improve access to justice and the quality of justice services provided to Jamaicans. The multi-billion dollar injection from the European Union which is in the form of a grant represents the single largest budgetary commitment to justice reform in Jamaica or anywhere else in the world where the EU provides support.
The most powerful Atlantic cyclone in 2016, hurricane Matthew, made landfall in Haiti on 4 October causing widespread destruction to the departments of Sud and Grande Anse. In response, the European Commission is providing €255 000 to fund humanitarian assistance for those most affected in Haiti.

Child abuse is pervasive in Jamaica. Forty-five thousand reports of child abuse were made over the five-year period 2010-2015, almost one third of this number were reports of sexual abuse. Every part of the society must play a role in ending child abuse.
