Civilian experts, police officers and military personnel all received the same training – an approach which aims to contribute to a common European security culture. The diverse composition of the training audience perfectly reflected the reality of missions on the ground.

Experts from the Crisis Management and Planning Directorate (CMPD), Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability (CPCC) and the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) trained future Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) mission and operation staff.

The special guest was the Chairman of the EU Military Committee, General Michail Kostarakos, who introduced participants to the latest developments in the fields of foreign, security and defence policy and discussed the creation of a Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC), a military headquarters for non-executive missions, in Brussels.
