UZBEKISTAN - List of EEAS calls for tenders for the current year
On 13-15 June 2017, a regional seminar involving representatives of educational establishments under the customs agencies of the Central Asian states was held in Tashkent. It was organized by the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA) funded by the European Union. The given event under BOMCA Programme aims to support cooperation among the law enforcement training institutions in the Central Asia region.
On 2 June, we hosted a team of volunteers, who provided great support during the 5th European Film Festival organised by the EU Delegation and the National Agency Uzbekkino on 22-28 May in Tashkent.
On 30-31 May 2017, Tashkent visited an expert group of the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania. They provided advisory assistance to the Uzbek customs authorities to implement the country's obligations under the UN Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and improve the efficiency of customs control during import and export of rare animals and plants. The event was organized by the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA) funded by the European Union.
The EU - Central Asia Rule of Law Platform jointly organised with the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan a regional seminar on “States and international arbitration”, in Tashkent, on 19 May 2017.
Last week, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais hosted winners of contests organised by the EU Delegation during Days of Europe in Uzbekistan annually held in May.
