UZBEKISTAN - List of EEAS calls for tenders for the current year
Ambassador Eduards Stiprais, Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, delivered a speech at the reception on the occasion of the Belgian trade delegation's arrival to Uzbekistan.
On 17 February, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais, Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, participated in a meeting on the occasion of the Erasmus Programme's 30th anniversary held at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.
On 15 February 2017, a new project “Strengthening Transport and Logistics Business Intermediary Organisations (BIOs) in Central Asia” was launched in Tashkent. The project is funded by the EU (750.000 EUR) and will be implemented in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in 2017-2019. Ambassador Eduards Stiprais, Head of the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, project team staff, representatives of partner organisations, entrepreneurs, diplomats and journalists attended the kick-off meeting.
On 31 January and 1 February, 2017, Tashkent hosted an international conference titled “Social inclusion: new milestones in the socialization of children”. The event was organised by the Sen Yolg'iz Emassan (You Are Not Alone) Foundation and the National Centre for the Social Adaptation of Children. 200 local and international experts, as well as representatives from UNESCO, UNICEF, the UNDP and the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan attended the event.
On 31 January and 1 February, 2017, the 5th Regional Round Table Meeting (RTM) for the Central Asia region took place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, under the European Union (EU) Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Centres of Excellence Initiative (CoE).
