Each EU mission works in the framework of a comprehensive approach. The mission works in agreement and coordination with the EU Delegations in the same area and in the framework of EU regional policies.
Two out of five international child migrants are born in Asia – more than any other region in the world
Project aims at protection and promotion of social, economic and cultural rights of vulnerable groups of both genders. Specific objective is ti enhance the delivery of effective and qualitative social services to vulnerable groups of population through establishment of efficient National Social Support Centre (NSSC).
Beneficiaries: Vulnerable men and women targeted (including future representatives of risk groups) and their family members amounting to 5.000 people; Whole society, citizens of target location in particular (ca. 4 million people).
Overall objective of the project is to sensitise and generate a greater degree of awareness on the strategic importance of water saving, water conservation and environmental protection under the conditions of climate change.
Target group: Water professionals, public, farmers, local authorities, water related organisations, rural communities (mahallas), youth organisations, schools, universities, mass media and non-governmental organisations.
The specific objectives
The Republic of Uzbekistan is situated in the central part of Central Asia and accounts for about 32 million inhabitants on the area of 447,4 sq. km. The urban inhabitants make about 50% of total population. Average age is 27 years and about 28% of population is under age 14. Many challenges remain in the social sphere with a high rate of unemployment.
The action aims to improve child rights legislation and protection, as well as the provision of social support, in Uzbekistan. It will do so by strengthening cooperation among CSOs, communities and public authorities in the promotion and protection of child rights, through a community-based model of social support provision.
Overall objective is to contribute to improvement of child rights legislation/ protection and social support in Uzbekistan.
