EU Election Observation Mission to Mozambique in 2014

The mission was led by Judith Sargentini, a Dutch Member of the European Parliament.
The mission’s mandate was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the electoral process and to verify its compliance with domestic laws and regional and international commitments for democratic elections agreed by Mozambique. The observers were deployed in all provinces of Mozambique. As part of their responsibilities, they met with electoral officials, candidates and political parties, civil society representatives, the media and citizens.
