Central American Integration System (SICA)

The Central American Integration System was established on 13 December 1991, through the signing of the Protocol to the Charter of the Organization of Central American States (ODECA) or the Tegucigalpa Protocol, which reformed the ODECA Charter, originally signed in San Salvador, El Salvador, on 14 October 1951; it came into force formally on 1 February 1993. The SICA has its headquarters in the Republic of El Salvador.
