Statement by the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini and Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica on the election results in Ghana

The EU offers its warmest congratulations to Nana Akufo-Addo for his election as President of the Republic of Ghana. His election confirms the strong democratic credentials of the people and the institutions of Ghana.  President John Mahama's graceful acceptance of the result is a testimony for this and is a model for the continent.
